Super Absorbent Mat (SAM)
Our Patented SAM soaks up the electrolyte. Unlike AGM (glass is an insulator), our mat combines with the electrolyte, giving a unique low internal resistance.
Pure Lead Plates / Paste
Our Patented Lead Plate design allows for the most effective power flow from positive to negative. With strength added in a special alloy, this is one reason our batteries are at least 10% heavier than regular Lead Acid.
< 5% Sulphuric Acid Electrolyte
Our Patented Electrolyte is almost as secretive as the recipe for Cola or the Colonel’s chicken. With the make up strictly guarded, what we can tell you is that we have succeeded in producing a much safer battery, with a 85%+ reduction in harmful chemicals.
Heavy Duty Busbar
What good is amazing performance if you can’t get the power out of the battery? By using more Lead on the Busbar and a special process to add the high quality connectors, it’s no surprise that we’re able to deliver more power, more smoothly. This leads to much longer ‘run time’.
The best part of all! After the first charge and certainly by the time our batteries reach you, the Electrolyte has crystalized. This means virtually no liquid, which in turn means minimal evaporation, minimal sulphation, no liquid to heat up on charge or discharge, all of which extends battery life!
THE UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY OF LEAD CRYSTAL® BATTERIES
To overcome the fundamental flaws of both the lead-acid battery and the gel battery, we have successfully developed five battery patented technological innovations in Lead Crystal Batteries. Our batteries have pioneered the concept of environmentally friendlier electrolytes so marking the iconic innovation of Lead Crystal Battery technology. The patented technology found in Lead Crystal Battery applications uses an advanced formula to replace traditional sulfuric acid solutions which in turn improves the application and safety performance of the battery. It overcomes the disadvantages of plate sulfation in the battery, has good wide temperature, deep-discharge and overcharge performance thus greatly improving product life.
What is a Lead Crystal battery?
The unique Lead Crystal battery consists of a number of special features including: a micro porous super absorbent mat (SAM), thick plates cast from high purity lead calcium selenium alloy (which ensures an extended life), and a SiO2 based electrolyte solution. During the charge / discharge cycles the electrolyte solidifies and forms a white crystalline powder. This eventually results in a safer, high performing and environmentally friendlier battery. The Lead Crystal battery can be used as a substitute for most battery technologies in the lead category, such as lead acid, lead gel and AGM.
What is the lifespan of a Lead Crystal battery?

What is the storage capacity of a Lead Crystal battery?
The Lead Crystal has an extremely low self-discharge and can be stored for more than two years without any top-up charging prior to use.
At what temperatures can Lead Crystal batteries be used?
Lead Crystal batteries can operate in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +65°C. Lead Crystal batteries can even be charged below zero degrees C.
Are Lead Crystal batteries safe?
Lead Crystal batteries hold less acid, no cadmium, no antimony. Lead Crystal batteries are up to 99% recyclable and are classified as non-hazardous goods for transport.
Do Lead Crystal batteries charge faster than lead acid, lead gel or AGM batteries?
Yes, Lead Crystal batteries can be charged up to 3°C without any impact on their cycle life. This means they can be charged 2-3 faster than other batteries.
Do Lead Crystal batteries sulphate?
Due to the construction and chemical reaction inside a Lead Crystal battery, sulfation hardly ever occurs. Lead Crystal batteries contain less sulphuric acid. They do not contain toxins such as cadmium or antimony either.
Can Lead Crystal batteries achieve a 100% Depth of Discharge?
Yes, Lead Crystal batteries can be discharged in full frequently, even to 0 Volt. This makes Lead Crystal batteries extremely resilient for deep discharging.
Can Lead Crystal batteries be partially charged?
Yes, Lead Crystal batteries can be partially charged i.e. you don’t have to charge them fully to be able to use them.

How long have Lead Crystal batteries already been in circulation?
Lead Crystal batteries has been producing and commercialising Lead Crystal batteries since 2009.
To survive in heat, nature teaches that you have to adapt with unique survival properties that allows you to cope with high temperatures. Plants and animals that fail to adapt, die.
